One blade ricasso is stamped with the SB&N Sanderson Brothers and Neubold manufacturers mark, the 'X' blade proof mark and the War Department ‘Broad Arrow’ ownership mark as well as the Enfield inspectors stamp of a crown over 6E over E. The other ricasso is stamped with a couple of Enfield inspectors marks 1D over E and 3H over E as well as the January 1916 date of manufacture 1 ’16 (see pictures). Militaria.
