2017-2018: 5,669 (League One), Unofficial Web Sites:  As expected, the 600+ Stevenage fans generated a fantastic atmosphere and really got behind the team. In case not all stadiums are available to host games of Championship, League One and League Two, the EFL is considering using stadium clusters to hold the 341 remaining league games of 2019/20. The journey up to Peterborough was straight and simple with good traffic flow. The years throughout World War II were tough and Peterborough would’ve surely lost the ground and possibly more were it not for two individuals who saved them by paying off the £50 owed in rent by the club. The third goal was a counter attack any team would be proud of and as you may of guessed we went wild....stewards were great...let you celebrate and only really came over if anyone stood on a seat so fair play....toilets were a tight squeeze but added to a fantastic atmosphere. I met my Southern based friend in the Great Northern Hotel just outside the railway station. The home fans were understandably subdued. Located in Peterborough and opened in 1913, the stadium has a capacity of 15,314. On a previous visit I had found doormen at said pub extremely reluctant to let away fans in, but this time we were made most welcome, and as the weather was dry and mild enough we took our beers out in the open area behind the pub to have a crafty smoke as we supped and engaged in discussion with some of the friendly home supporters about the world of football. The pub also doesn't serve food, but doesn't object to customers bringing in their own. However, you can drag the map around or click on +/- to reveal more hotels in the City Centre or further afield. It was a bad result for us. We eventually located a sales point behind the away stand and purchased our tickets. It has been 18 years since my last visit to Peterborough with Reading – Darius Henderson (remember him?) During the early war years with Posh restricted to playing friendlies, income dwindled and with the club unable to pay its rent, Peterborough City Council threatened to terminate the ground lease. A cracking game. Food is served as is Real Ale and the usual selection of drinks. unfortunately we ended up on the wrong end of that scoreline. After this 4th stand was erected opposite the main one with inauguration of floodlight masts in 1960 ending a very dynamic decade. And although I was due to go to Port Vale a few weeks before this game, it sadly got postponed due to snow. Adults £22 (B £20), Aged 60 and over £17 (B £15), Under 22's £13 (B £11), Under 18's £9 (B £7), Main (North) Stand A Wing Seating: We turned right out of the train station, walked through the town center and the floodlights were easily visible so we just headed in that direction. This is how Football Ground Tour was born. After the Second World War terracing and a covered shelter were provided at the popular London Road end, although the narrow Glebe Road side was still stepped with re-cycled railway sleepers and partially covered by a shelter erected at the Moyes End in 1939. The stewards were generally rather laid back and only really had to react when loads of Watford fans came to the front when we scored. The surface is covered with natural grass but the ground doesn’t have undersoil heating installed nor a running track surrounding it.
