I know that it's the Stafford Knot, not the Staffordshire Knot, but to be rid of it would be to rid of Staffordshire's identity and, I think, too much of it's history. he's more well known than the symbol! It's too easy to change for change's sake. It's a fine and easily distinguishable symbol for the county.
